In Bucks God Trusts

God in vision, showed her true face
Nose-less, deaf, mouth-less, eyes laced
Dollar bill nailed to her forehead
Now god’s a cyclops on a bill head
Reversing divinities, bucks for godhead
Lost sheep worship god as shepherd

Shepherd venerates bucks instead
Who worships who? It may be fairly said
People worship god, god reveres green
Those blessed with wealth ever near it’d seem
To the almighty, her blank checks unseen
At last! God’s tangible, countable and clean

Lest we forget, cash’s essential
For needs to channel, not dangle
Never to worship
Nor for us to addict
Losing all meaning
Of life’s true calling

Let all who can, rake in wealth no matter how
Their sole blessing for them to flaunt
Only the blessed will stroke holy cow
And milk it dry, then the poor to taunt
The rest left for poverty to haunt
Sweat hard, live hard, for bucks to hunt

To church, to church, one day’s for church
Forget not to hurl god in your purse
Without god, worship is fruitless
How else could the pastor bless
His flocks damn high on his opium
And live like some king at the podium?
