Sigh, what a relief and thank you for the encouraging comment, Sanaa. Had my first attempt fallen flat on its face, I was ready to invent a new form: Faceless Sedoka, lol.
I'm unfamiliar with Sedoka. I'll have to research and give it a go myself.
The form is intriguing and the topic is fascinating as well. I like the idea of conflating man with beast as we can be the cruelest member of the animal species.
My very first attempt at Sedoka.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant execution of form here.. and yes those stalkers are something to be aware of!

DeleteOh! I've never tried this form. Scared to death of it! But you did, and it's an interesting form.
ReplyDeleteAsobime is Lady Nyo...an earlier version. LOL!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to try my hand at this form after your poem. Well done. I love the title of your blog!
ReplyDeleteI think may have it reversed, perhaps it should be, "beast killing character/man killing just for fun."
ReplyDeleteI agree with Annell. Man the most dangerous creature on the planet.

I like it as written. :)
I remember doing sedoka... like your effort, though I try to agree with Annell ... no big confidence in men.
ReplyDeleteAnnell's twist is a chilling one ~ Good job with the form.
ReplyDeleteNice description of those who lack empathy enough to kill and snigger.
ReplyDeleteIt's frightening to know that there are people like this.
